It All Started with an Idea
Listening to Marc Benioff talk about the AppExchange at Dreamforce 2005, we got an idea. We had worked with a lot of Salesforce.com customers and we knew first-hand the challenges users went through getting data out of Salesforce CRM and formatted exactly the way they wanted and needed it.

We also knew we could make their lives easier. Data is just data until you can look at it the way you need to — and one size doesn’t fit all. A year later we quit our day jobs and dedicated ourselves to making it easy to get any and all data out of Salesforce any way anyone wants. A few months later, we launched our first product, Conga Mail Merge, at salesforce.com’s Apex Day 2007.

The Most Popular Solution on the AppExchange
Salesforce customers loved it. And salesforce.com reps and Customer Success Managers loved it because it integrates so seamlessly with Salesforce and gives customers so many options. After that, customers started asking us if we could help them with more problems. "Any chance you could help us get Salesforce data in other formats?" "What about Excel, PDF forms, or Microsoft PowerPoint?" We kept tackling one challenge after another and suddenly, we had a suite of products that solve all sorts of document generation and reporting challenges.

Now Conga solutions are some of the most popular applications on the AppExchange. So we know a thing or two about what it takes to be successful in the salesforce.com community. It’s been a thrilling experience. Our customers have led us to where we are today, and we are excited and honored to see our solutions improving the productivity and quality of the user experience in hundreds of salesforce.com customers, both large and small.
